    SIMPLE ELECTROMAGNET
Description:
    Demonstrates how an electromagnet functions.
Equipment:
    1. A-A lead, coiled around metal rod
    2. Edison cell battery
    3. Box of paper clips
Procedure:
    1. With the electromagnet not connected to the battery, try picking up paper clips.
    2. Connect the electromagnet to the battery and again try to pick up the paper clips.
