Title:
    CLIP CURIE POINT
Description:
    Demonstrates loss of magnetic property with an increase in temperature.
Equipment:
    1. Lab stand w/ string & paper clip
    2. Two 3/4 “ x 1/2 ” neodymium magnet
    3. Beaker (600-1000 ml) w/ water
    4. Propane torch
Procedure:
    1. Pull the paper clip up near the magnet as shown and place the beaker of water below the clip.
    2. Heat the paper clip with the torch until the clip loses its ferromagnetic property and falls into the water.
    3. Once cooled, the clip will again be attracted to the magnet.
