Demonstrates the human body has electric potential energy and can be used as suggested in the movie, “The Matrix,” as a power source.
Equipment:
1. Human Cell Plate
2. Human Cell pipes
3. Large Demo Multimeter
Procedure:
1. Place one hand on each plate and read voltage.
2. (optional) Have one student place their hand on the copper plate and hold a steel bar. Another student holds on to the copper end and so on until the last one touches the steel plate. Voltage should # of students x 0.7 V (approx.)
ex.: 5 students x 0.7 V = 3.5 Volts
