Title:
    ROTATING 2 X 4
Description:
    Demonstrates the power of electrostatic forces.
Equipment:
    1. Large lens or watch glass
    2. Long two by four
    3. Styrofoam electroscope
    4. Paper towel
    5. 18” PVC pipe & acrylic rod
Procedure:
    1. Balance the board on the lens.
    2. Rub the fur on the PVC pipe to charge the pipe.
    3A. Hold the pipe near the end of the board so the pipe is close to and parallel to the side of the board. The board will slowly begin to rotate.
    3B. Hold the rod near the ends of the arms of the styrofoam electroscope.
